|The students will write key words on the Activ Board.|
|Engage Now: Opening||The students have been learning all about dinosaurs and fossils in our dinosaur module. The students attended the fossilization program at Tellus. They learned all about different types of fossils and many prehistoric animals.|
|The teacher will review and discuss the Tellus trip with the students. Each student will get with their module partner and reflect on their Tellus trip. Each partnership will work together to come up with three key words that reflect on their trip. The students will add the key words to class flipchart.|
|The class will come up with a topic sentence. Each student will use the key word class chart and create sentences that reflect on all that they learned from Tellus. The class will come up with a closing sentence. The students will get with their module partner and check each other’s rough draft. The students will write a final copy in their travel journal.|
|Closing:||The students lay their travel journal on their desk and the other students will rotate and read other’s reflections. Students will make 5 compliments on 5 different students’ travel journals. The students will record these compliments on a compliment sheet.|
